NYC Quakers

Space Reservations

Rooms and spaces in the New York Quarter's buildings, 15 Rutherford Place in Manhattan and 110 Schermerhorn in Brooklyn, are available for community use.

Our spaces — at the Brooklyn Meetinghouse, 110 Schermerhorn St, Brooklyn, and at 15th Street Meetinghouse, 15 Rutherford Place, NYC — are here to support worship, build community, and serve our witness in the world. We rent our spaces on a first-come, first-served basis at fair market value to any group whose activities are consistent with Quaker values, regardless of political affiliation.

How to Reserve Space

Quaker committees and prospective renters can book space using this form. Reservations and rentals work on a first-come, first-served basis. Quaker committees are able to reserve the space at no cost!

Space Availability Calendars:

Remember to reserve extra time if you need to set up, cook, or decorate! Generally, we ask events to conclude roughly an hour before the building closes to re-set the space for the next day.

Quick Guidelines

  • Food & Drinks are welcome in: 15 Rutherford Common Room and Room One, 110 Schermerhorn Social Room, Kitchen, and Basement Conference Room
  • Photos & Filming are fine except during any worship activities
  • No Alcohol, illegal drugs, smoking, open flames, or weapons are permitted at any time
  • Clean up: Please leave spaces as you found them, including returning any moved items

Hosting an Event Under Quaker Committee Care

If your committee is sponsoring an event (including with outside organizations):

  • Book the space using the online form and designate one committee member for logistics
  • Be present: Have at least one committee member on-site at all times (we suggest one volunteer per 20 attendees)
  • Welcome guests: Monitor building entry and help attendees find the right space
  • Tech support: If using AV equipment, have a trained committee member on-site to run it
