Witness Grants
The Witness Committee helps get funding to people and projects that bring Quaker values to life—like peace, justice, equality, and care for the planet.

- Witness Grants
Dear Friends,
The Witness Committee has been charged by the Quarterly Meeting to oversee the disbursal of funds to projects that serve to bear witness to our Quarter Testimonies. To that end we are seeking requests for funding from members of the Quarter for just such projects. We anticipate receiving requests for multiple projects so might not be able to fund all of the requests to the full amount requested.
We no longer have a three year cap on funding for any project. Please resubmit a project if you held back because of that earlier limitation.
Proposals for project funds need to include:
- A description of the project to be funded, which includes the timing of the project;
- The project budget (and where the Quarter’s grant fits in if appropriate);
- Finally, an annual update on the project which must include a financial report.
Proposals are due by August 15, 2026. We will have made our decisions no later than September 1.
Proposals should be submitted with this Google Form.
If you have any questions or concerns, you can email nyqm-witness-fund@nycquakers.org
Thank you Friends for all the wonderful work you are doing. We look forward to hearing from you.
