NYC Quaker Witness Threshing Sessions

We find ourselves at a moment that calls for discernment. At January Quarterly Meeting for Business it became clear that Friends across NYC are wrestling with questions around Quaker witness. How do we meet this time with integrity, drawing on our Quaker witness while meeting our city’s needs? What does faithful action look like when we work both within our testimonies and alongside others?

Over the coming months, we're inviting Friends into a series of threshing sessions to discern together. We'll hold these queries:

• What makes Quaker witness distinctive right now?
• Where is our energy as individuals and meetings?
• What change do we seek for NYC and the world?
• How do we coordinate witness within and across monthly meetings?
• When and how might we work in coalition with other groups?
