Mamadou “Mouctar” Diallo has been released from detention! Mouctar is a student at Brooklyn Frontiers High School who was taken into detention when he showed up for a routine immigration check-in this August. Brooklyn Meeting has a special relationship with this school, hosting its cooking classes and coordinating with them on other projects, including a new food pantry. NYC Quakers helped hold a press conference about Mouctar's detention in August and shared a mid-October update. More on Mouctar’s release here.
