Wear Orange for Gun Violence Awareness on June 8th
The first weekend in June is Wear Orange Weekend, part of the annual National Gun Violence Awareness movement to raise awareness and to honor victims and survivors of gun violence. On June 8th, we are asking you to participate by simply wearing something orange and taking a picture at your Meeting of those participating. This is the easiest "ask" we can think of to bring us together in support of the Quaker Peace Testimony as it applies to deadly violence in our own communities. Please send the picture from your meeting to Peter Murchison, Clerk, New York Yearly Meeting Task Group "Shine a Light on Ending Gun Violence" at pdmurch@gmail.com. Any questions, also please ask Peter. Thank you!!
