Vigil for Peace in Gaza

Morningside Meeting will hold a silent Vigil for Gaza on Monday, September 29, at 6:00 pm. All NYC Friends are welcome. We will meet for the first 10 minutes at the plaza that is at the entrance to the Bowling Green station of the 4, 5 subways, and then walk down to the plaza in front of the Staten Island Ferry terminal. We will probably end at about 7:15 pm at the ferry. Our posters will emphasize that we as Friends Hold in the Light...the starving children in Gaza, the Israeli hostages in Gaza, and so forth. We will also have small electric candles for some to hold. We hope to have a sheet of possible actions to hand out to people.

Important to know: we do not need a police permit if we remain on the sidewalk and are careful not to block passage. Everyone needs to be mindful of this.
