They walked 300 miles to the Capitol to champion human rights for all.
This Tuesday evening June 17 at 6, young people who walked from Flushing, Queens to Washington, D.C. to petition the halls of Congress on immigrants' rights will be presenting their short video and talking about their experiences. There will also be a potluck, so you are invited to bring something yummy -- whatever you like.
It's all happening at the Quaker Meetinghouse, 110 Schermerhorn, just off Boerum Place and Atlantic Avenue in Brooklyn. Feel free to come to this event; I think it will be cheering and inspiring. It's just got that kind of vibe.
