Presentation from David Gray, Principal of Brummana Friends School in Beirut

David Gray, Principal of Brummana High School (the only Quaker school remaining in Lebanon) will give a presentation to 15th Street Meeting in Manhattan on Thursday, April 24, 2025, from 6 – 8 pm. This event is also available on Zoom. He is visiting New York City and the Philadelphia region for the second time (his last visit was in 2022) speaking to Quaker meetings and other interested parties. David has been leading the school through difficult times, including the most recent conflict in Lebanon and the country’s financial crisis. He will share his experiences of living and working in Lebanon, the current state of Lebanon from his perspective, as well as sharing the great work and Quaker mission of the school which stands as a beacon of hope for its students.
