Love as Action: Quaker Public Witness

Saturday, December 6, 1:30 pm, Union Square, NYC (meet at 15 Rutherford at 1:00 pm)

On Saturday, December 6, American Friends Service Committee (AFSC) and New York Quarterly Meeting (NYQM, AKA NYC Quakers) invite New York Friends from across our meetings to gather publicly in silent worship with a concern for our immigrant neighbors. We will meet at 15 Rutherford at 1:00pm to walk over to Union Square together. The silent vigil will be held in Union Square from 1:30 to 2:30ish. Friends will be gathering in other cities such as Atlanta and Chicago, and we hope that in future months coordinated events will occur in dozens of cities with the shared message that our communities are stronger with immigrants.
