POSTPONED: From Crisis to Connection: What Makes a Community Strong?
Postponed: Join us for an evening with Jasmine Qin and Azury Lin of re+connect, a civic technology initiative to reimagine resilience as a collective movement.

From Crisis to Connection: What Makes a Community Strong? Tuesday, August 5, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM, at Brooklyn Monthly Meeting
Postponed as of 7/30/2025 - New date coming soon.
What does it mean to be a connected community? How do we bounce back from hard times together?
Join us for an evening with Jasmine Qin and Azury Lin, co-founders of re+connect (replusconnect.org), a civic technology initiative to reimagine resilience as a collective movement co-created with communities. We'll watch the trailer for "Join or Die" (a documentary about why community matters), share snacks, talk about what it means to build community today, and explore new ways of building a more resilient future together.
As Quakers, we're called to see that of the divine in everyone. How can we strengthen connections in our own neighborhoods? What does resilience look like when we show up for each other?
Come ready to connect and explore how grassroots solutions reflect our values of community, equality, and care for one another.
We’ll have some snacks and you’re welcome to bring something to share. Please RSVP at the following link: https://forms.gle/gxFLwGdeRaNYxmFM6
