CQL Book Group: Spiritual Transformation
The new Concern for Quaker Living Book Club theme is Spiritual Transformation. All are welcome to join this community discussion of spiritual texts.
On Monday, December 1 at 6 pm, we will explore the first half (pages 1-14) of our next reading: Prayer: Beginning Again by Sheila Keane. Sheila wrote this pamphlet as an exploration of what prayer means to various Friends -- how one does it, when one offers it, and what may be its results. Is it the vehicle that takes you to a meeting place with the Divine, or simply lifts you out of your patterns? Have you ever experienced prayer as coming to you rather than from you? Did you ever wonder what connection with something higher might be attempting to call forth in you?
No matter where you are with the process of prayer, this reading may help you create a foundation for your spiritual practices, or approach them from a fresh perspective. Join us!
Pendle Hill Pamphlet #339 is available from Pendle Hill's bookstore, or on Kindle.
