Concern for Quaker Living (CQL) Working Group Meeting
Concern for Quaker Living (CQL) helps our meetings to welcome and nurture a caring community of Friends in all stages of life, particularly the oldest Friends.
Working group meetings begin with worship sharing on a query followed by personal check-ins. Everyone is invited to come worship and connect with other Friends. The reading for October 26:
"Our Society has many opportunities to welcome different kinds of people; indeed, we are many different kinds of people. We can reach out to make sure that our meetings cultivate the presence and participation of people of different backgrounds and interests. Our practice today may not be what we hope for. Yet we seek to accept, welcome, enjoy, and nurture each other’s differences."
A statement on equality from Faith & Practice, October 2020 edition.

The Concern for Quaker Living (CQL) working group of New York Quarterly Meeting is focused in three threads: a housing feasibility study, the Community Wellness support services available to NYC Quakers, and the fostering of opportunities for us to be together as a Quarter. CQL is meeting the 2nd and 4th Mondays of each month at 6pm. Each meeting is on Zoom, although we hope to offer one hybrid meeting a quarter. All are welcome.
