Community Dinner

Friends – please join us for any part of our community dinner on the last Sunday of the month. The dinner is open to anyone who wants a meal. Let us know if you’re volunteering so we can better plan. RSVP here.

Volunteers: There are a variety of activities that volunteers might be expected to do. These might include: setting up tables, assisting in cooking as well as food and beverage preparation, welcoming and serving guests meals and refreshments, bussing tables, and assisting with produce and clothing distribution. Any volunteers interested who are under the age of 12 should arrive with a parent or guardian. Volunteers are encouraged to email the Co-clerks of Community Dinner, Michelle Dodson and August Guy at august.magiera.guy@gmail.com and michellepdodson@gmail.com if they have any questions. 

Clothing Donations: This winter, the Community Dinner committee is hosting a coat drive for the benefit of our guests. Please put donations in the labeled boxes at the end of the downstairs hallway. Other gently used clothing donated for the Community Dinners is always appreciated. Due to limited storage space for donations, we kindly ask that you limit your contributions to two bags. Please drop off your donations during co-working hours on Tuesdays and Thursdays or on Sundays. Place the bags only on the two shelves labeled “Community Dinner” in the designated closet in the basement. 

A few notes:

* We serve dinner in our social hour room
* Gently used, clean ADULT clothing is welcome
* Toiletries are also appreciated by our guests—travel sizes are ideal
* Bring an apron and a clean kitchen towel if you can

Rough schedule:

12:45 – start setup
1:30 – opening circle – role assignments
2:30 – welcome guests and serve dinner
4:00 – close and clean up
