ArtAid: A Night of Music, Performance, and Art in Support of Nigerian LGBTQ
A night of music, performance, and art at the Fifteenth Street Meetinghouse in support of LGBTQ+ youth in Nigeria

The 15th Street Friends Arts Committee, in conjunction with The Rustin Fund and Collective Canvas, is co-sponsoring ArtAid on Saturday, October 4th starting at 5 p.m. in the courtyard with music by Bug Jazz. On display will be 19 works of fine art to be raffled off in support of Equilibrium Initiative Nigeria (EIN), a Nigerian LGBTQ+ youth group which lost their USAID funds.
At 5:30 the Lavender Light Gospel Choir — the nation's first openly LGBTQ+ gospel choir - will lift their voices in a rousing celebration of civil rights organizer and Quaker, Bayard Rustin. Followed by a variety show of 12 performances inside!
Tickets start at $25. Reservations are encouraged and may be made on EventBrite. ArtAid takes place at the Friends Meeting House, 15 Rutherford Place, between 2nd and 3rd Avenues.
