NYQM March Newsletter
Part 1: A Note for the New Year
As we move into March and begin the transition from winter to spring, we want to take a moment to thank you for continuing to show up for our community spaces. Whether you’ve joined a workshop, reached out for support, or shared resources with others, your presence helps strengthen this network of care. We look forward to the opportunities this new season brings for growth, connection, and continued learning together.
Part 2: Seasonal Wellness Tips and Resources
As we move into early spring, this is a good time to check in on your well-being and adjust to seasonal changes.
A few reminders:
- Get fresh air and light movement when possible
- Maintain regular sleep and meal routines
- Stay connected with your community
NYC heat season remains in effect through May 31. Landlords must provide adequate heat (at least 68°F during the day and 62°F at night). If you are experiencing issues with heat or hot water, please call 311.
If you would like technical support accessing seasonal resources or services, please let us know.
Part 3: Community Wellness Resource Day
We’re excited to invite you to the Community Wellness Resource Day on Saturday, April 14, 10 AM – 2 PM during friendly co-working located at 110 Schermerhorn St, Brooklyn, NY. Our partners at University Settlement will offer workshops or small group discussions on topics of your choosing. Please RSVP here. You can also use that form to share your workshop preferences.
If you need assistance with housing, seasonal transition planning, health resources, other social services, or have questions regarding the Community Wellness Day, you can reach us at communitywellness@nycquakers.org.
