🌈Friends will once again be part of the NYC Pride MARCH ! 🌈
Friends’ support goes all the way back to the Stonewall uprising. Friends provided care and comfort to those brutalized by police and opened 15th Street Meetinghouse as refuge. Quakers also provided non-violent training for the first March to assure a peaceful event.
That’s why the Quakers still march at Pride every year and get a huge cheer!
Given the current backlash against the LGBT+ community we hope to have as many Friends as possible join!!
