This Sunday, June 9, meeting will be at the beach with a zoom cohort.
Meeting for worship begins at 10:10 am, scheduled to run 45 minutes. Social time to follow and/or a children’s story and/or meeting for worship with a concern for business.
Air quality forecast is still poor for Sunday, but considerably better than it has been this week. Temperature forecast between 70 and 74 during our meeting, with intermittent clouds and winds out of the SSE (in our faces, looking toward the water), gusts only about 15 mph.
Summary Directions to the beach — Meeting about 0.23 miles (400 yards) NE’ly from the end of the Franklin D. Roosevelt Boardwalk. At that location, you will find 3 large pieces of driftwood next to each other (the longest about 20 ft long) lying more or less parallel to the shoreline. It makes for a really nice seating area, one that may also be attractive to other beach goers; ie, if you see people sitting there who don’t look quite frumpy enough (or friendly enough) to be Quakers, just look around a bit; we may have just had to opt for a bit of open sand.
